Today, on World Mental Health Day, we reflect on the importance of mental well-being, not just globally but within our own company. At JA Brooks, we recognise the unique challenges that can arise in the construction industry—from high-pressure environments and demanding deadlines to the physical and mental strains that can affect anyone. That’s why we are deeply committed to fostering a workplace where mental health is not just supported but prioritised.
This year, we’ve partnered with The Little Wellness Company to offer our staff weekly mental well-being sessions, providing a space for relaxation, mindfulness, and personal care. These sessions are part of our ongoing commitment to making mental health support accessible to everyone in our team.
We also believe in the power of communication and transparency, which is why we have an open-door policy that encourages our employees to speak openly about any concerns they may have. Whether it’s stress, anxiety, or personal challenges, we want our people to know that their voices are always heard, and their well-being is always our priority.
To mark World Mental Health Day, we’ll be hosting workshops, open forums, and awareness training to further equip our teams with the tools they need to manage their mental health effectively. Alongside this, we’ll be sharing personal stories from our employees, helping to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and encouraging open dialogue.
At JA Brooks, we are committed to creating a culture of support, understanding, and empowerment—not just today, but every day. Together, we can make mental health a priority and ensure that everyone in our workplace feels valued, heard, and supported.
