We employ the best people for the job, embracing and celebrating different cultures and individualites. We learn from each other’s experiences whether that be through background or practical on-the-job experiences.
We recognise, particularly in our industry, that skills and knowledge are best learned on the job and through practical experience. We like to create opportunity for all individuals, no matter their ethnicity, gender, age or socio-economic background to allow them to gain valuable experience and build a career, whether they are starting as an apprentice or joining as a senior manager.
We have a diverse workforce which embraces many different cultures – something we like to celebrate. In addition to practical on the job experience, we feel our workers gain equally as much by learning about different cultures, different educations, and different life experiences.
We have a number of written policies in place relating to equal opportunities and diversity but more importantly, ensure expectations and behaviours around diversity and inclusion are embedded in our culture and that our leaders example these.
We also ensure we have an open door policy across our management teams so all individuals feel comfortable in raising questions or concerns.
